This is Ron Jon’s first album on the spectre collector label.
As part of the spectre collector dark family collective, Ron Jon brings a new vibe to the dark ambient scene. His work has been used to provide atmospherics for a number of ‘extreme’ art events and installations.

With his new 6-track album ‘Transported through twilight’, Ron Jon takes us to strange and distant shores by way of the duduk. This ancient double-reeded instrument is made of apricot wood and delivers a sad, warm, beautiful and smooth tone. The duduk is used in these songs to enhance their mystical moods.

Some of the tracks on this album take me down the deserted cobblestone streets of a small village. It is night and the air is thick with mystery, alchemy, dark madness and the promise of otherworldly things occurring behind closed doors.

Other tracks transport me to the edge of a forest. It is twilight and I am spellbound by something in the mist.

Or perhaps I’ve just been staring too long at the album cover, a beautiful artwork by the famous Norweigan artist Theodor Kittelsen called ‘Servant of the Huldra’ (now in the public domain).
